Every breed has genetic maybes. As I said, these are maybes. Most pets don't have any problems at all.

Labrador Retriever - Arthritis, hip dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy (PRA)

Golden Retriever - Cataracts, heart disease, hip dysplasia, cancer, PRA

Beagle - Mange, epilepsy, eye problems, hip dysplasia

German Shepherd - Epilepsy, hip dysplasia

Dachshund - Epilepsy, disc disease, hypothyroidism

Yorkshire Terrier - Dental problems, hypoglycemia, liver problems

Boxer - Heart problems, hip dysplasia, thyroid disease

Poodle - Epilepsy, hip dysplasia, hypothyroidism, PRA

Shih tzu - Allergies, eye problems, kidney problems

Chihuahua - Throat problems, heart problems, hypoglycemia

Just a note, any dog big or small can develop hip dysplasia, eye, nose or back problems. The types above are more prone to the problems.
