A dog groomer maintains the appearance of a specific dog breed. Or clips and neatens up a dog that has become horribly matted or had contact with substances which turn a coat into a mess.

Many professional groomers keep up to date on the latest findings by reading trade papers and attending seminars.

There is a lot of equipment you will need to purchase to get started.

If you will be working out of your house, you will need crates of varying sizes, dryers, clippers, brushes, combs, shampoos, conditioners, flea and tick products, grooming tables, restraints, and the list goes on.

And if you are setting up a shop, there is rent to consider along with all the above supplies.
