Dog Treats
If your dog is like mine, they know where the dog treats are kept. We all use them for training, rewards, dessert, or a night time snack for our pet. Don't overdo feeding commercial goodies or you will have an overweight dog.
If your dog absolutely loves the ones you buy in the store, try alternating them with natural foods like vegetables and fruits. Our kids love raw and cooked carrots, green beans, broccoli and lettuce. Apples are a nice dessert for them after their meal.
Raw baby carrots are good for the crunch factor dogs love. We keep them in a covered bowl in the refrigerator and when they come in from outside or want a yummy, we give them a carrot. Our kids start out from pups learning to love veggies. The best way to start them is take a carrot and start nibbling on it yourself. You know your dog will be right there wanting a hand out. So bite off a piece and offer it to him. He will gobble it up and want more.
Pieces of apple are a good sweet for your pet. Basically, most all veggies and some fruits that are good for us are good for your dog. People foods which are not good for dogs are listed on the
