Puppy Training Tips
Puppy training tips will help you teach your pup to be responsive to your voice and commands. This is a repetitive process. The more you go over the commands the more the pup will retain. Also, these tips can be used for adult dog training as well.
Puppies are wonderful little creatures. They are like human babies in the fact that they must be taught. So you must know what you are doing to achieve these goals. Before you buy or adopt that little guy or gal, think some things through. Who will be responsible for the care, feeding and training involved?
For training purposes it should be one person. Be consistent and let others in the family know to be consistent as well with commands. Confusion on the pup's part will undo all your hard work.
Included in puppy training tips are sections about what we have learned through trial and error over the years. Our experience has covered everything you will handle with your new puppy. Also, if you decided on an adult dog, the training is the same as for a puppy. It may be easier because your adult pet will probably have had "basic training". In home dog training is a comfortable and easy way to teach your pup to be a good canine citizen. There are less distractions and both your and your pet will be more at ease.

A puppy training tip about naming your little guy or gal. Try to use one or two syllable names, example: Lady, Spot, Patch, etc. If you try to use more than that (Lady of the Field of Dreams, COME!) your pup will be long gone and you'll be out of breath. Stay away from names with "NO" in them or sound like it, example: Noel, Noble. No is a major correction and will confuse the puppy if it is associated with his name.
Also, in the Commands section, you may want to add training hand signals to your routine if you would like to eventually show your adult dog in obedience competitions.
Enjoy the puppy training tips we have used over the years. You may come up with some of your own.
